Silver Crown Homecare has been providing caring, consistent, dependable in-home caregiving services to Sunbury, and the surrounding areas, including Columbus and its suburbs, since 2011. Over the years they have been a blessing to many clients and their families, and the good news is, they can help your family and your older loved ones too!

Bethany came in from Silver Crown within a few days notice and helped with caring for my Mother-In-Law. She was responsible, kind, soft spoken and very helpful in those final days of hospice care where we needed some one to lend a hand and provide us with additional help. I would recommend her to anyone who was looking for help with that special family member that could no longer do it all themselves. Thanks again for the warm and loving way you helped our family.

Questions & Answers

what happens if my regular caregiver is sick and can't make it to work for me?

Hi Thad, Thanks for asking about services. Some of the best reasons to work with a home care agency are the we screen, background check and train all our employees. When an aide takes off or is sick we have a backup plan to cover our clients needs. Having backup is a very important part of the program.

How do we get started with care?

Good question. First we want to speak with you to better understand you or your family members needs. If we can help with those we'll want to schedule a time to meet with you to understand the needs better and answer any questions you may have. Only then would we ask you about a schedule of you want to proceed. There is never a contract and you can start or stop any time you want.

How do you select your caregivers?

Our caregivers are carefully chosen from applications we receive through ads, referrals and local talent. Only about 1 in 10 make it though our screening process. In addition to personal and job references we also check 6 different data bases for any professional violations as well as driving records. New employees are fingerprinted and also checked through state and federal criminal databases. Once hired, our caregivers are required to complete online training before starting work as well as yearly continuing education. Also specialized training may be assigned for specialized cases.

Do you accept Medicare?

Because these services are non-medical they are generally not covered through Medicare. We provide complimentary support to home health services and hospice as well. Many times the services are very limited in days of service and many of our client need the additional service on other days. Also, home health service are limited in how long they last. We find our clients need the help after these services have ended.

How are your services paid for?

Hi Thad, Generally our services are paid privately from the client or their family. Some programs such as long term care insurance or Veterans benefits may also help with care payments. Thanks for asking.
