It is so refreshing and gives my family such peace of mind to know that our grandma is in the safest assisted living with the absolute best care available! The staff at the Bristal at Jericho are all angels. They truly care about their residents. Bruce Ritter, Devi in Reflection, the Receptionists, the Wellness Department, and all of the aides and staff are always available to address any question and assist immediately. My grandma has truly never been happier. She's constantly raving about how clean the Bristal is and how amazing the food is.... that really matters to a 95 year old Italian woman! The care is 10 out of 10! The absolute BEST! There's no shortage of activities for the residents and it truly feels like a family! Thank you to the Bristal at Jericho for the attention to detail and for loving our loved ones!

My relative who lives there was just put in the hospital with COVID. They ARE vaccinated. My relative had a cough for over a week and NO ONE at the Bristal thought to have her tested. My relative was eating in the communal dining room! Not the staff, not the 24 hour aides she had apparently suggested my relative be tested. Where is the common sense at this place? My relative is in their mid 80's and not well - They are in the prime group of people to contract COVID. This lack of common sense oversight is unacceptable.

It took me a long time to write this review and get over my anger. My sister and I placed my mom in the reflections (memory care ) program as she had dementia and my father passed away suddenly (they were still living together/ married for almost 54 years ). The place is beyond beautiful but that’s basically where it stops! The ONLY good thing there are Bruce and Sarah. Sarah is a sweetheart and so helpful. Bruce is as well unfortunately though we were completely misled on the Bristal. My mother was exit seeking, they knew this. On top of the ~9K we were spending every month, we were forced to get 24 hr aides to keep an eye on her... this was an additional 16k a month!!! The reason we had to do this, actually, were FORCED to do this, is that my mother got off the grounds and the police found her 1.5 hours later/ ONE MILE AWAY! If anyone is familiar with this area, you are aware than that my mother had to cross over a very busy Jericho Tpke. They claim they knew my mom had gotten out yet there are alarms on every door So if they actually knew she was out, how would she have gotten so far away? She was 81 years old! She wasn’t a marathon runner! The Bristal told someone we asked to have the aide.. no we asked for her to stay and we’re told the only way she could stay was with a 24 hr aide!!! If this is a secure a lock down area, we should never have been forced to get this. When we called for updates on my mother, we would have to leave two and three messages to get any answers. I had quite a disagreement with the manager as I can assure you, my mother along with every other patient there, is merely a means for making more $$. They promise you the world when you’re signing up yet you barely get the minimum. Because they could not handle my mother even with the aid, we were told she had to leave. They never refunded the amenity fee even though they kicked her out!!! Please also note, when we took her out, her monitor never ever went off. How secure is this if the monitors don’t go off that are on the individuals? We moved my mother into another facility in Oyster Bay. Although it was not nearly as fancy, they treated our mother like family. The love they gave her was indescribable. She never once tried to exit. What does that say to you about the care in the Bristal? If this review helps even one person not put their parent there, I will be happy. PLEASE take your parent to a place that actually cares for your parent, not just the $$. Again, yes the place is beautiful but the care, ugly!!! It will be my mission to write reviews wherever I can so anyone looking for a new home for their parent knows the truth about this place. I am more than happy to answer any questions anyone has as well. My mom sadly passed away a few months ago so please know, all I want is for others to be happy, loved and cared for ... not In this place!!! FOLLOW UP TO THE BRISTALS REPLY: Again please anyone looking for a place for their loved one, please find another place. Their reply is an out right lie. We were told my mother had to leave and they made NO suggestions where to take her. Once again, it’s all abt the look of the place, not the care. We had to call numerous times to get any feedback. My aunts best friend was a manager at another Bristal and she too said, the care is sub-par. It’s all abt the bells and whistles. Sad that they can’t take accountability for any of their actions or shall I say lack of actions... especially losing a resident for 1.5 hours Again, anyone looking for a place to put their loved one, I beg you, don’t put them here... reach out to me and I will fill you in on even more details.

Bristal has done a great job helping my father’s adjustment to assisted living. They have also been good about answering my questions.
