Elizabeth’s wealth of knowledge and skillet is unmatched. Working with Elizabeth and was pivotal to my therapeutic career and I feel privileged to have both observed and been on the receiving end of her empathy towards all.

Hi Sharon. Thank you for reaching out and asking about insurance. We do not take insurance, but we are happy to provide a superbill for you to submit to your insurance if you have out-of-network benefits.
We are considered out of network (OON), which means that we do not take insurance directly. Instead, we can give you a monthly receipt, called a superbill, that you can submit to your insurance for possible reimbursement. We recommend reaching out to your insurance company and confirming whether or not you have OON benefits.
To start out, we recommend weekly sessions. Later in the process if you would like to explore having more or less frequent sessions, let us know so we can discuss what would be best to meet your goals.
We really believe in working ourselves out of a job and setting you or your family up for success. This process is quick for some and takes longer for others, depending on what you want to work on, your goals and level of motivation. This is a great question to ask in your consultation call or in your initial sessions with us. As we get to know you better we can make better predictions of timelines.
We use an integrative person centered approach. This means that we take many different modalities and blend them together to best meet your specific challenges. In addition, we use our therapeutic relationship as a tool to help you to heal. This allows for a highly personalized approach and better outcomes. The therapy can shift and grow with you. This is essential in helping you achieve your goals in a timely manner. You can read more about our modalities and trainings in our services and specialties sections.
We work predominantly with teens, young adults, couples and families who struggle with eating disorders, anxiety, trauma and relationship struggles. If you think you may fit outside of these areas but would still like to explore working with us, set up a consultation call to see if we are a good fit.
Love this question! We will spend time getting to know you better, understanding your priorities and crafting a plan to help you reach your goals. This is also a great time to ask any follow up questions you have from the consultation call.
You have two options so please pick the one that you are most comfortable with! Each option starts with setting up a 15 minute consultation to make sure we all feel that we are a good fit. Option 1: Call or text the number listed and set up a time for a 15 minute consultation. The number is 914-809-5800. Option 2: Fill out the contact us form on our website (www.couragepsych.com) and we will respond back to set up a time for a 15 minute consultation.
Sessions are 45-50 minutes long. We have found that this amount of time allows us to help clients make significant progress each week without being exhausting. If you are interested in an alternative time frame please contact us.
We are open Monday-Friday 9 am – 6 pm. Moriah and Elizabeth’s individual hours vary within those time frames.
Yes! We have found that this modality offers the most flexibility and comfort for our clients.
We currently offer telehealth at our practice.
