I don't believe it is, especially at this time of year. We went yesterday for the Earth Day Celebration and have been there a few other times. It's a nice enough small zoo and a pleasant surprise for such a small town as Watertown, but not worth a 2.5 hour drive. (We moved to Watertown in October) The large area that One can see from Google maps and certain pictures is actually the large community park that the Zoo is in.
$10.00 for adults $7.00 children
Yes, they have distancing requirements and masks need to be worn in areas.
The zoo is not currently open to the public. The Otter Shop (gift shop) is open on Saturday and Sunday from 10 to 2.
You'd have to call the zoo and ask that question unless you happen to run across someone that has either asked that question before or has done it

We do have a trail that goes around the Zoo yet it's more of a walking trail. It does not have the "exercise suggestions" as you stated in the other fitness trails.
You are probably better off calling. You can never tell, how many people or what an issue will be. Weather will always play the most factor on who will go.
The stone pavilions are located in Thompson Park. You can access them for free, but if you want to use them for an event you must contact the city for a permit. The Thompson Psrk Zoo has a seasonal butterfly pavilion. You can call to check to see what time of year it is available.
There is a large parking lot. It is shared by zoo patrons, park visitors, splash padders and when it is operational, the pool.
