Under renovation. Elevator sounded like it was broken down. Room ac didn't work along with all hall ac units. Asked man on duty for a different room. He never apologized or offered anything but slowly found us another room. New room, while remodeled and cool, had ants all over. Not great and horrible front desk service. This is not Marriott quality.

I stay in a lot of Marriotts and specifically Spring Hill suites. This one is not up to par -staff is nice the overall public areas are clean -elevator is slow & if you don’t press door open at the floor /you are not getting off -TV would not work. Kept shutting off and the internet option was not accessible -the room was clean but seemed to be “half renovated” the sink area is painted plywood. There was some old tv stands with holes in them still in the room. -breakfast: all bread & biscuits but no butter. No coffee lids. Did not live up to some of the other reviews - the rate is low - but do not expect a standard Marriott experience.

My wife and I stayed there last Saturday. We didn't have a reservation when we came in, but they gave us an amazing rate when we did come in. The room was fine, but where they really won us over was with the atmosphere. I've never had so much fun checking in! The staff was incredibly nice and made us smile after a very very long, hard day. Will definitely stay there again!

I am a current Titanium Elite member, and a lifetime Platinum Elite (14+yrs). I booked this hotel for two of my adult children and their families. One of my children have a dog, so I requested a room for a pet (paid one with credit card, and the other room with Points). I checked in online earlier on the day of arrival. Upon arrival about 7pm, they had a band playing in the lobby, the front desk clerk, had to meet me in the side hallway, so I could hear what she was saying. She told me our rooms were ready, however they were going to up my son with dog in a specific room (RM 213). But she wanted me to see it; the room had recently been smoked in, and the guest was removed. We went to the room, and air freshener was recently sprayed. We took the key, she implied if we were not happy, we could change rooms. After just a few minutes, the smoke smell was evident. I went and asked for another room; she stated, there were no more rooms, they were sold out. So I began looking for other options, however my children, and grandson were asleep already (in the other room - 111). Additionally, the smoke detector was removed from the room. I do not understand how it is assumed that it is OK to give a room that has not been cared for to a guest because they have a dog. How is it that a Titanium member or any guest for that mater receives a sub-standard room? The next day, we asked to be moved, she did not know how to move us rooms. Additionally, the pool was closed (not identified on the site). This is not a standard Springhill Suites, or any form of Marriott I have come a custom to over the years. If this is the "New Normal" for whatever excuse, then I will be looking at Hilton or other brands. I would have been better off putting my family in a Quality Inn or like property for the weekend.

There are lots of shopping areas, very close by,lots of food and great to stay there if you are visiting Kansas University as we were for graduation. Excellent staff and excellent food served every morning. You save time and money. Nice pool too. I highly recommend Spring Hill for business and family travel.
