Still waiting 6 hour strong. Just had a a major surgery here on Tuesday went back Saturday due to fever and worse pain. Biggest mistake I ever made. No compassion for patients told no beds oh well. Told goes by severity of patients fine so a person with a sprained foot seen before me joke

Just when we think quality here can’t get worse, it does. We had two good doctors and three good nurses. Generally though, it seems like none of the staff communicate with each other. They don’t answer call lights. They don’t follow up on simple requests. Walking by the nurses station they all have their eye on computer screens or cell phones and just chit chat while call lights are on for ridiculous lengths of time. It’s scary. I don’t know why half of the doctors even bother to come in the room, they haven’t read anything and ask all redundant questions while offering nothing new or contradictory assessments. They don’t know which other doctors have already been in to see you and they obviously aren’t communicating or coming up with a coordinated plan of care. No amenities at all. No tissues, no soap for showers. The floor, walls and shower were filthy. The food was the worst ever. It’s criminal that they serve it and charge us for it. Patients have to door dash to get anything to eat. We couldn’t believe how awful the meals were, plus they were cold and always late. It’s really sad how much this hospital has declined over the past 5 years. It used to be the best in town.

Listen, if you're going to cry about long wait times then you go out and find more staff that are willing to work in the medical field. EVERYONE knows there is a nurse shortage. There are staffing shortages EVERYWHERE. The long wait times certainly aren't because the staff is lazy Do you think they just like to make you wait so they can hear you complain? They are overworked and tired but keep coming in to work so they can help you when you need it. Walk a mile in their shoes and then tell me how horrible they are.

My mother in law was a diabetic and waited that long AT THE CLEVELAND CLINIC. My father in law want to give her juice and they yelled at him. CC is not what people think. They were rude and could care less.
They are all very nice people. If you call or ask they come and get you whatever you need. My wife and I stayed here a few days due to complications with preeclampsia and delivery but they did a fantastic job. Both are all good and they were all very informative. Everything was kept super clean also.
Yes, if they are allowed to have flowers in the room.
Across the street in the glass building on the 1st floor
If you are going to the Akron airport about 30 min the Cleveland airport is about 1 hr
As a visitor, no cell phones or most personal items, such as keys or any sharp objects. Nothing to harm the patients or others. Patients have their valuables in lockers, and there are lockers provided near the unit for visitors. You may bring cards, but I would limit bringing gifts other than those that the staff approves. Obviously, no drugs or any kind of contraband. Food should prolly also not be brought in, even as gifts. Sometimes just visiting someone is comfort to the patient enough! Good luck!
I would call the main hospital and ask to be directed to the right extension for that specific Dr., otherwise idk. Sure do wish you and your husband well.
Yes you can call the ICU in his ward Explain your his sister and would like to know how he is doing and what he his prognosis. If he is married she may be the only one who can enquire about his health. Hope this helps and I will pray for your family.
If you are coming inside the hospital first, park in the parking deck across the street from the main entrance of the hospital. If you aren't coming inside, there is a pick-up area right outside the main entrance
main entrance
No u can anytime
It's right across the street from the main hospital.
Go to www.akrongeneral.org or call the main hospital line and they can put you in touch with a caregiver who can help you
May as well try and bring them in, whoever they are to you...
If you are bleeding irregularly for being pregnant, I would go to an ER, especially if the situation is critical enough to not wait for a doctor's appointment. A regular hospital can run more thorough tests than an urgent care can, so a regular hospital has my vote! Also, I think now there are currently online docs that you could chat with if you feel the situation isn't as dire. Of course, they wouldn't be able to run any kind of tests, and their answers would be biased because they wouldn't have access to information from your doctor on the spot, as of yet.
Most drug testing is either a blood or urine sample, depending on who wants the sample. Different companies want different things.

Take her to the Cleveland Clinic in Beechwood excellent stomach doctor there I went thru literally hell with my stomach after a surgery and they were only ones to find problem..had stones going into my liver...
Yes they do. They also will work out arrangements for any out of pocket. Great hospital to work with.
Horrible hospital here but excellent in Cleveland. I'm from akron will not go to general. There is a pain clinic in green.
Check with your insurance and the hospital. I don't believe they'd offer one straight up.
Only waited ten minutes when I went in there
Depending on where the patient is, yes. Sometimes the patient family can stay in the room and sleep in a reclining chair or find a rec room and sleep. There is a limit of one maybe two if allowed but the nurse in charge has presidence in the decision. It is the patients safety that comes first.
