Friendly staff and easy rental!

I reserved some scaffolding approx. a week in advance. A day before I went to pick it up I received a call from Sully’s. They called to tell me that the person that was presently renting the scaffolding decided to keep it for another week, so I could not pick it up on the day that I had reserved it for. I was a little disappointed, but I changed my plans and re-reserved it for the day that it was scheduled for return. Then it happened again the day before I was scheduled to pick it up. This time I expressed my disappointment to the woman that called me. First of all, “why do you not tell people at the time of rental that you only have one set of this scaffolding, and this situation may occur.” This place just fell to last on my list of business to call for rental equipment reliability. I ended-up going to Sunbelt, who not only recognized what the word “reservation” means, but guaranteed me my ALL of my equipment on the day they committed it to me. Sunbelt is definitely not a “mom and pop” store and knows how to treat and keep customers! Be careful if you make a “semi-reservation” with Sully’s. Their practice of not telling me upfront that I may or may not get my equipment on my reserved date cost me. I will not let them do that to me again. Buyer beware!!

Dropping of gear I paid them to rent, I stopped in the front to check into possibly renting something else. Saw a sign posted about dropping gear at drop off at the side of the building, and not in front. For some reason one of their guys felt the need to speak to me in a way I would never speak to a customer; it seemed related to his perception that I was not heeding the posted sign. The lady working there who I was talking with did not seem surprised with this performance. Maybe even pleasantly amused. Wierd. Insulting. Was he a racist, was he a druggie, did they just ship him in from Boston or somewhere where people are just like that? Maybe so, maye not, I don't know, who cares. Don't want to think too much about it. Too much good in the world to think too much about these types of events. But I remember. I haven't been back since. There are enough solid places in the area where I've had only positive experiences.
