Friendly helpful staff. Clean rooms. Small restaurant with great steak dinner and short rib flat bread. No free quick grab breakfast. Needed to get on the road with no time for sit down breakfast. I'm sure it would have been delicious. The 3rd floor was non smoking with guest smoking in the room. That's why the 4 stars.

I don’t want to see evidence of previous guests when I walk into a hotel room, but when we walked into our room, there were crumbs on the couch, black hair around the bathroom, and the room had a very thick butter smell. Umm gross. Also, is southern hospitality a myth? The front desk ladies were not very friendly when we checked in. On the bright side, the server at the restaurant was very pleasant.

Professional Opinion

This hotel needs to be remodeled. In addition, the incidentals fee needs to be higher so that guest feel more inclined not to destroy or smoke in the rooms. I stayed here two weeks ago and decided to have a drink at the bar, there was a roach crawling over my head at the bar. I have photos, I will find them and upload. This hotel needs help! Do not stay here, it's a glorified motel 6.

I was extremely disappointed in the condition of our room. The bathtub had mold in the corners. The towel rack in the tub area was extremely rusty. There was a good amount of dust in and around the room, especially behind the nightstands. There were crumbs on the floor near the bed near the headboard. Our ottoman was tattered and looked like it was ready for the dumpster. My overnight stay was not pleasurable. This is not a good look for Hilton! I am an honors member and have good experiences other than this place. The only positive thing I found here was a pleasant and very nice woman that checked us in and recommended a great restaurant for dinner. Also I was quoted one price and when I looked at my charges there was a discrepancy. I called when I got home and they did straighten that out for me. Honestly, I would never stay here again until the place is upgraded and better maintained. Oh, did I mention how disgusting the carpet on the 5th floor elevator lobby is? Sorry Roanoke Rapids Hilton Garden but you gotta get it together before I return to this place.
