Chyrlette, Thank you for your question. There are three (3) eligibility requirements that a person must meet: age, assisted living services and income. First, a person must be of age 55 years or older. Second, a person must need the assisted living services offered at Livingston Place. Care services include activities of daily living, or ADLs, could be bathing, dressing, eating, toileting and transferring – someone who might need to go to a nursing home if they did not have help. This will be determined by your doctor and then through an assessment process. And third, Livingston Place was built for low and moderate income as an affordable option for senior care through the Low Income Housing Tax Credit. It’s best to call us to understand if section 8 is applicable or if you may be qualified. You can call us at 202-519-0982. Hope to hear from you soon. Thanks!
Hi Marjorie, the showers are large enough to have a seat, as necessary. You are able to keep your aide. However, we have onsite caregivers 24-7 that will be able to help you as much as you need. Feel free to come by for a visit or call us so we can tell you more about our community.
Hi Marjorie, we assess each residents needs. This way, the resident can be as indpenedent as possible and we are here to help, as needed. And yes! Your grandchildren are able to visit you.
