Call the Housing Crisis Line : 804972-0813. Their hours are Mon-Fri, 8am-6pm.They may be able to help immediately. Even if there is a waiting list; put your name on this list because once you're there they're able to assist you with permanent housing. I hope this helps, and I pray that all goes well. Another resource is Richmond Dept. Social Services. Their #: 646-7212. Also Commonwealth Catholic Charities, their number is 804)648-4177.

My daughter is getting ready to go to Tuckerks for De-Tox but needs a place to stay for today and possibly tomorrow. Could she do that. She is 29, ready for help, but her father won't let her stay there.

I am trying to find a place for my daughter (age 29) to stay for a couple of days. She is going into Detox at Tuckers either tomorrow or Wednesday. Any way you would have a place for her? Her father won't let her come there and I live with my son

My sister, her pregnant daughter, and their dogs are homeless out in southwest Va. My sister gets about $1100 in SS now that her husband is in prison. Are there any resources that would help them and their pets find a home together? She has not been able to qualify for a rental because of the 3X rent rule.

Hello! All people who wish to enter shelters or housing assistance programs in Richmond must start their inquiry be calling the housing crisis line. The housing crisis line is the centralized intake system for all homeless service providers in Richmond. As there is a high demand for services, there can sometimes be a wait, but I would encourage you to contact them daily as availability is always changing.
