Chesterfield Mental Health serves Chesterfield County residents because its a county business not a state or private one. So you must live in Chesterfield County to receive service here. I've dealt with this business on and off for 5 years or more. The assessment of a juvenile was easy, its done walk in ao we for there juat after they opened. Lots of legal stuff upfront then down to explaining why were seeking help. Their interactions with my child were as expected, happy upbeat tones and playing to make it a less stressful experience. They assigned a counselor and set an appointment only a week out. It's been impossible to find a counselor for a young child which is why I sought out CMH again to help my child. If you need help please give them a chance especially if you are struggling to get a young child help.

Do not waste your time ! Truly the most mismanagement I’ve ever seen . I had a caseworker for my case . She’s been on “leave “ for 4 months . Can’t get appointments or a case manager that will help . Literally they have given me 5 who literally do nothing or try to help . So I couldn’t get a appointment the caseworker the assigned to me (third one ) calls goes just let me know when your ready to cancel services . Literally first thing she said . If this was a emergency room everybody would be deceased . I’m truly horrified that a mental health place is supposed to help people not make them worse by neglecting them . I have found a new mental health facility . I wanna give them zero stars !

Every single department here is trash. They all drop the ball all the time.

yes, my husband is on disability, and has medicaid, and he pays nothing.
They can assist you with anything you need, call intake an make an appointment
Is this about the laws too?
If you are a minor you. As a parent you can ask for help, if not, just in case of stress or something strong call Chesterfield Co. MENTAL health services for suggestions.
Chesterfield mental health support services can help with that! They have psychiatrist AND therapist options available so that way your friend’s son can find a healthy outlet and possibly get on medication for his symptoms he’s showing. Case workers are assigned and there are often outreach meetings that parents and children can go to. However, considering that your friends son is indeed over 18... He is considered by law a legal adult and she might not be able to go to an appointment with him in the beginning. Hope it all turns out for ya and hope this helps!!!
