The closest hotels are in downtown Silver Spring, which is a few miles south.

I have chairs I found when I bought a house with the name Masonic Temple of Silversprings MD. They are wooden fold up chairs. How can I find out how old they are? Kathy Rhoden

Hi Kathy, The chairs likely came from our previous building at Georgia and Wayne Avenues. That masonic temple was built in 1927 and sold in the late 1970's. If you would like to mail or e-mail us a picture, we would be happy to compare with pictures in our archive. Take care!
