Super, Awesome & Amazing at The St. James

I've left two messages about trying to host a birthday party and legit, no call backs. Extremely surprised that they are too busy to get back to people, especially those looking to spend money for a kids birthday party venue.

The building is big but the establishment isn't overwhelming. We went on a Sunday and it started off pretty quiet but began to fill up around noon. Lots to do for little ones. Staff was amazingly friendly and helpful. My girls enjoyed the climbing things but really wanted to do VR. Unfortunately the VR area wasn't opening before 12:30. We will be back to play in the gameroom as it did look like fun. Also the building has a nice bistro in the front if you get hungry.

Drove over an hour to take my kids here to use a Groupon I had for them. Looked at the website in advance and all time slots had over 40 spaces available, but you can only book for an hour at a time. My Groupons are for 2hrs. We got there and were told they could not have 2hrs of time, we could only do 2-3:30 because birthday parties at 4 made them fully booked (website still says over 40 spots for each time) and the front desk person was a bit rude with his attitude in telling us we should have made a reservation. Said he could "accommodate us" by giving us an hour and half and including grippy socks (which the website doesn't say is required - only to wear closed toe shoes), and when I agreed he said, but you know you really should have called to make a reservation before coming." We left. Extra attitude not required. We even called to see if we could get in later and, when we were told no, pointed out that I can make reservations on their website right now for an hour at a time - which requires up front payment. They said we know the website says there are spots available, but there aren't. Cool. What would've happened if I bought reservations only to get there and be told they won't honor our reservations? Their front desk staff need an attitude check and their website is desperately in need of updates to provide factual information.
