Met our needs fir design, price, and good communication. Recommended. Below is my earlier review re kitchen remodel, several years ago. We totally redesigned our 1980s kitchen with the help of Cabinet Discounters' staff designer Katie K., in the Springfield, VA showroom. Brightwood cabinets were flawless and installation went smoothly, as Katie worked closely with the carpenter, electrician, and plumber to insure that all would fit together. We spent a lot more time planning and deciding among options than it took to build the new kitchen, but Katie was patient and offered options without pressure, a major help to couples! Whether we wanted the most expensive or the least expensive options, the functionality remained the top consideration, so we now have a space where many adults can cook or hover, and traffic flows freely.

I really don't like to write bad reviews but my experience was so awful that I believe it is important to share it. I'm looking to have a built-in bookshelf designed and installed, nothing fancy. The designated space is 9' tall and 8' wide. I made an appointment for a showroom consultation all the way back on April 23. Following instructions I received, I brought measurements and a photo of the space. I described what I was looking for to the design consultant (whom I will not name here), identified possible colors and styles, and left with a promise to receive a proposal in about two weeks. Two weeks came and went, I asked for an update, was told "soon" and finally received a proposal exactly 5 weeks after the consultation. The proposal itself consisted of a single page with two line items. The first line said simply "Brighton Quote" at a cost of $14,400. The second line is "Installation" with cost of $14,370 for a grand total of $29,901 including taxes and delivery. That may be the world's most expensive book shelf! Perhaps the design is so intricate and all-around spectacular that it's worth more than my car. But, I have no idea because I have no idea what it looks like. There was not a single drawing included with the proposal. I went to a place with the word "Discounters" in their name with the expectation of a lower price. It turned out that the price above was three times the highest previous quote I received- and that design was spectacular. At the same time, I'm wondering how it could possibly cost $14,370 to install pre-fabricated shelves and cabinets. That should take at most three days. And if so, I may give up my day job and become an installer making $5,000 a day. I'm done with these "Discounters" and will find an honest craftsman to build me a book shelf at a reasonable price.

I dealt with Jenny Suarez, and she was great. She helped me select a replacement cabinet and sink for my powder room. She explained the costs of various options and did not try to sell me on expensive pieces that would have been beyond my budget. She warned me ahead that it would take 3 months for the pieces to be delivered, and she was correct. Knowing about the delay ahead made it easy to deal with. Delivery to my home went fine. I recently had the pieces installed by a private contractor. (Jenny had told me that their contractors would not work on such a small project.) That was not a problem for me, as I had a trusted contractor I had worked with before. The cabinet and sink fit perfectly and look beautiful. I could not be happier with my experience with Jenny.
