Love the self service kiosk. Came here after work around 10pm and no one else was here and kiosk was super easy to use. Wish all of the DMV was self service like this. Highly recommend you save money and just do your emission testing at one of these self service kiosks that are open 24/7.

It was an awful experience. I drove 15 miles at night to get there, but to no avail, as the door of the Self Service Kiosk did not open at all, as if it were fixed.

Yes but its not always working. When its up & working right, its very easy to use but just like any other public available technology, you'll find it broken down more often than not. Its your call - how far a drive away from you is the risk you take in hoping you didn't waste your time & gas. If you go during regular service hours, you'll be assured of getting the test done & I've never had to wait long in line anytime I've gone in the morning just when they open.

the veip office is closed. To get md license or ID card. CALL OR YOU COULD GO TO WESTMINESTER OFFICE. YOU MAY HAVE TO MAKE AN APPOINTMENT THERE. THEY DO HAVE A KiOSH there. You may be able to get an id there. Call to be sure

Per the MVA website: The Vehicle Emissions Inspection Program (VEIP) will notify you by e-mail 11 weeks prior to your vehicles due date, providing we have your e-mail address on file. Otherwise, you will be notified via U.S. mail approximately 6-8 weeks prior to your due date. Vehicles are required to be inspected every two (2) years.
