Mr. Rooter sent Darryl out and he single handedly changed my perception of his company. Not only was he extremely thorough, he was very upfront and honest about our options. I wish more people shared his professionalism in their work. Highly recommended is an understatement. I called and Jessica was able to send someone out the same day. Darryl arrived on time and called before arrival. Darryl assessed the damage and was able to dispatch his team out fix our leak coming from the main water line. My water is back on, my floors are dry and free of water. The owner (forgot his name sorry) even sweep the first floor floors when he was done. The fact that they broke down what the issue was and the solution in layman terms satisfied me. 10 out of 10 for Mr. Rooter of Newark, DE. The long and short of it is, no. Chemical drain cleaners tend to be highly toxic and come with various warning labels. They can also be dangerous to have in a household with pets and children who might get into the bottle. The chemicals can also damage your pipes. Just as they dissolve your clogs, they can dissolve the inside of your plumbing. There are alternatives to chemical drain cleaners, such as enzymes and bacteria that will eat the biological material blocking your drains. If you need immediate help clearing a clog or cleaning your drains, give us a call!
If your toilet keeps running, it’s usually a problem with the flapper not closing or sealing around the flush valve. If jiggling the handle a little doesn’t fix the issue, it could be that the flapper has worn out and needs to be replaced.
