Beautiful campground. Lots of birds, Eagles, Herron and Osprey. Bathroom and shower are closed and not sure where the others are. Base needs to address this. We knew coming in but it's been down for a while. Otherwise great camp, but be prepared to boondock.

Nice and cozy. I tent camped on a Thursday and Friday night. The main bathhouse has showers and toilets but there's also porta-potties appropriately dispersed throughout the site. Expect tons of aircraft noise during working hours, but not so much otherwise.

Year round is not available. The campground closes on October 31 and opens again February 1. Rates depending on what type of camp site you wish to book, and can be found on Patuxent River MWR website. The other two camp grounds on base are open year-round.
