Great camping site with portajohns, tables, and campfire spots. We stayed for a hot weekend in August and canoed up the river for a bit of fishing. Interacting with the wildlife was fun, but bring plenty of bugspray. Only issue is there were some campers set up for permanent living and one of them ran their very loud generator all night. Other than that would recommend for a fun place to camp and canoe.

This is an awesome campsite. The people are so nice for our yearly trip.

Used it to launch a kayak. Didn't feel safe for paddlers. Beautiful scenery but beware the airboats don't slow down on narrow channels. Will not be back. Wouldn't camp there to save my life!! 😆

Such a beautiful spot! Can be quite the ride on a bike without the proper tires, but well worth it! It's a truly primitive spot though, so make sure you don't forget to grab water on your way down. The portapotty wasn't that bad, but pooing in the wilderness is probably better than pooing in one of those.

No hook ups... It's all primitive camping...but so beautiful...
It's pretty much primitive camping except for the fire rings and portable toilets. Plenty of room for trailers, first come first serve. There's a four day limit, but I'm not sure about enforcement. It's polite to leave water adjacent sites for passing canoeists. The road in is pretty washboard . . . Take it slow so as not to bust anything.
Not a designated one, but you can swim anywhere in the river you want. If you are looking specifically for a place to swim, I would go up to the headwaters.
