Love this trail. It's perfect for a long distance run if you're feeling like doing a 80, 60 or 40 miles. Its 20 miles to the state line and continues to York, PA for another 20 miles. The trail is mostly flat until you hit the slight descent on the PA side. It also parallels a river and within a forested area so there are some great views.

As a cyclist, I tend to do the whole trail system to York PA and back. MD portion is quite a bit more natural and the trail surface is rougher. The Northern MDportion of TCBT also gets more like a one lane unpaved driveway (two tracks). Slight uphill grade from MD to New Freedom PA. From Paper Mill parking (the largest?) It is 10 mi to the Monkton crossing. 15 mi to the I83 underpass and 20ish mi to the PA line. Crossing into PA, the trail surface improves and widens. The ONLY downside to the PA portion is the numerous criss-crossing of the old rail tracks.

A great trail for walking, running and biking. They need more parking

Porta potties on trail clean also
It's just north of the White Hall parking area, so I'd bet it's about mile 11
Either. There are some less than smooth parts, but you'd be fine on a road bike...
I biked the NCR up to the Pennsylvania line today and my GPS said 22 miles.
No. At least not legally. The park closes at dusk everyday. That said, that a rarely locked out patrolled at night. At your own risk.
