The guys who work here are nice. But the management of this building is trash. - if you have any furniture longer than 80” you’re out of luck because it won’t fit in any of the elevators. There is no real service elevator. - they don’t air condition the lobby, elevators, or hallways - don’t trust when you receive documentation with your lease saying that the scaffolding will be taken down by X date. It won’t be taken down. - this doesn’t have to do with the building management necessarily? but the construction of the building next door is incredibly disruptive- it’s v loud starting early every morning, it literally vibrates the entire building to the point that every so often people think there’s a major event happening and management has to send out an email saying it’s safe. Not sure I even believe them. - the lobby looks nice but the hallways are terrible and from what I’ve heard there’s no plan to renovate. - two laundry rooms with ~5 washers and 4 dryers each for 15 floors. And they are terrible, smelly, breaking regularly, and $3.50 a cycle to start. - 4 elevators, at least one of which always seems to be down, so the elevator takes forever. - Don’t think you won’t have your rent raised by a lot each year, you will - obviously no amenities

Would give zero stars if I could. Management: Unresponsive to emails and calls. Can never connect with someone via phone. Unit: The unit is fine but the fire alarm goes off every time I turn on the over because it smells like gas is leaking from the appliance. I was told by maintenance that the fire alarm is just sensitive and the smell of gas is normal. Noise: New building construction next door, construction debris pickup in the middle of the night, typical NY traffic...EVERYTHING can be heard through the very thin windows. I have to break my lease due to a family emergency and management couldn't care less. I will owe $8,400 to leave early my lease 3 months early.

Avoid this place. Management is a nightmare. Construction was promised to be done over a year ago and they now say that the repairs have been discontinued. No point in paying for a doorman building when the current entrance is in a back alley and almost anyone is let in. For example, a couple of months ago there was a violent man with a knife who got let into the lobby yelling that he was going to go upstairs. Please choose anywhere else to live but here.

Moved from another building in the Financial District to 100 John Street about 4 months ago. Things have not been easy because of the pandemic but was fortunate enough to have found this great apartment. I got a really good deal here and signed a 2 year lease for my studio. It is really large and I have my own private terrace. Definitely recommend moving here!!
