Not frequent at writing reviews, but the outrageous situation that happened today doesn’t leave me a choice. Around 6 pm the water started running in the bathroom… and we couldn’t stop it. So, we submitted an urgent request to the management followed by the phone call to the doorman. An hour later, we had to call again as nobody showed up. Only at 8:30 pm a man apprised, and after spending 5 min in the bathroom he gave us a verdict - nothing could be done. 🤯 Imagine, it’s Sunday night and you have to get up at 5 am on Monday to go to work. And the water is running in the bathroom non-stop. And you have migraine… It’s a little over midnight now, and being unable to fall asleep, I’m literally putting whatever energy I left into writing this review. This is simply insane - this building is located in the prime area of Manhattan. And EVERYTHING could be done in NYC at ANY hour. NOTHING IS IMPOSSIBLE. Other important thing to add, they’ve increased our rent $500/month after we’ve lived in the building for 2 years, and there were no improvements made other than the management office… which is not related to the residents experience whatsoever. Any repairs requests we’ve submitted were never addressed on time. Another question - should there be that many repair requests for this rent cost?? Devastated. Shocked. Embarrassed to deal with it. Hope this review will help if you’re considering to move in. Battery Park is a great neighborhood as well as FiDi. But I’m sure you can find other building with the gorgeous window views and prime location but with the way better management, who actually cares about their residents.

They will say they won’t increase as much on the renewal but don’t believe. They don’t care about current tenant as, I just received a 30% rental increase.

The building and location is great. However, I would not recommend the building to anyone because of their management office. They are extremely inconsiderate and where it suits them they are flexible and when it doesn’t they will be extremely unreasonable. We asked for a four days early move out which earlier they said was possible upon signing our new lease they said sorry you can not move out early.

Moved into my $4200 a month studio apartment today and had the tackiest Andrew Chu declining all of my furniture deliveries (and told Fedex to send them back to sender???) because I was in the shower when Fedex showed up. This guy is the rudest ASSISTANT property manager I had encountered, and I have lived in 10+ luxury apartment buildings in NYC + SF (ie the most expensive housing markets in the country). ‘Sorry’ or ‘please’ dont exisit in his vocab, and he talks down to me (ie a client) in the most condescending manners. When asked why he sent all my packages back to the sender, dude said “moving forward, do plan ahead and stay home, otherwise it will be declined”. Without even an apology or a ‘please’ (not sure why I was still polite enough to say ‘please’ to him). If you want to pay top rent for a building with a “doorman” and Andrew Chu who tells you to plan ahead for going to the bathroom when your package is being delivered, be their guest.

Depends on the view and floor. I’ve heard of some for $2,400, but that’s lucky. Mine was about $4,000, and I’ve heard of up to $5,000. Despite this, your rates are destined to go up within the first year of your lease. That’s how this place rolls.
Yes!
Most lines arrive at WTC station that is just two blocks from there.
