During a recent power outage (triggered when a car struck a telephone pole), utility workers were at the site of the outage working through the night (and through rain) to get the power back on. It took a few hours, but they did a good job. Thank you, and stay safe during future outages.

Came here to see if others were experiencing this crazy spike in amounts owed and I wasn’t disappointed. Trying to talk to their customer service and these people think they are correct without giving a clear explanation. Going on about estimate vs actual. Monitoring my own usage (Alexa), there’s no way it’s possible for my reading to have doubled. Yet, they are telling me I owe double from may-June, apparently normal June-July, and double again July-august. It’s all so inconsistent. I didn’t even run a bill this high in 2 winter months combine. It’s ridiculous they are allowed to do this since energy companies are generally a monopoly in any local area.

So, we just moved down here in the Jersey Shore 7 months ago . First time JCP&L customer . Where we used to live, it was PSE&G and they're not the best either . So , we've been happy with JCP&L so far until we got our bill for June-July and it was over $400 !! What in the world ? We did not have any changes in our usage . Granted it was pretty hot lately but we kept our A/C consistent at 78 degrees in the house and that was comfortable for us . There must be a mistake ,we thought . How can that quadruple in a month ! We called customer service , and of course you have to go through 15 minutes automated person before you get a live person to talk to. The rep was nice and polite and we even went to read the meters to her and she rechecked it , and she said everything was correct . However , we were still confused on how our bill sky rocketed like that . Then, she said the magic word- what you've been getting was estimated reading , so we are catching up and that's why your bill this month was higher that the last 3 months. Seriously?! Attention Management ! Get someone to read the meters consistently so your customers will not get saddled with humongous bills , just because you can't read our meters monthly as they should be , we get to pay the higher price !
