Wanted to enjoy the shrimp and grits, sadly they were closed. It was Sunday at 2pm and the place was padlocked. Asked around and it looks like they are closed. Hopefully, it's just temporary.

One of the worst situations I have been in. Was looking for a place that had food already cooked and didnt have to wait much. I ordered the stew special for $8. Not nonly did they gave me a portion about size of a small desert plate and …Southside is not a fast food establishment. If people would like food in 5 minutes after the order this would not be the place to eat. All our food is cooked fresh. I apologize that the food was not to your satisfaction. I have spoken to the owner and we will make sure going forward our food fits the standard that our customers have come to enjoy over the years

One of my favorite got to spots when in South Dallas. Rodney the owner is a very cool guy. Remembers customers and always makes your food to order.
