Do not give these people your phone number, they will NEVER stop calling you. My reward for donating blood is annoying phone calls, great....

Fast and friendly service and very professional.

Trying to donate blood here is like trying to boil the ocean. Nowhere online are their lunch hours posted, but two weeks in a row I walk in to donate and both times I’m informed they are at lunch. Today I asked if their lunch hours were posted anywhere and she said, “the door.” Thanks, that helps absolutely nobody. For as much as these people call me to inform me of the blood shortage and how I should come donate, I figured it would be easier and they would be more available. Thanks I’ll keep my blood

Been donating here for a couple of years now. The staff used to be great but service has been going down hill as of late. For donating my blood for free, the staff should be more kind and not be short or rude. Today I was even told I was not allowed to wear my sunglasses indoors and that it was against policy. I've literally worn them every time I've been here before. I mentioned my eyes are sensitive to light, then the lady said it was okay to wear them. I was even questioned if my mask was appropriate which is an N95 mask but for people with long beards. Plus the lady was standing over me the whole time I was donating blood. It was a very uncomfortable experience.

I wish I could tell you. I meant to ask on Saturday when I donated. Then I forgot to 😖 Go figure.
Yes there is an area near the door.
Hello. We are a not-for-profit blood provider to hospitals. Our blood components are used to treat hospital patients. As such, we are not allowed to pay our blood donors. You are probably thinking of a plasma center. The plasma they collect is used to develop products like pharmaceuticals and even cosmetics. If you would like to give blood to save the lives of hospital patients, please make an appointment at BloodHero.com. Thank you. Brad
At each of the 6 Vitalant blood donation centers you can walk in. It is best to call since certain kinds of donations are scheduled for certain days. A whole blood donation typically takes about 45 min including time to answer the questionnaire required by the FDA and also replenishing your body in the canteen after donating.
Jay- You can find all of our eligibility requirements here: https://www.vitalant.org/Donate/Donor-Eligibility.aspx
Hello. I'm sorry you've struggled finding our hours. They vary and are correct on Google, but here they are: For whole blood: Sun & Mon - closed; Tues & Wed - 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.; Thurs - 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Fri & Sat - 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. The hours for platelets vary. If you go to BloodHero.com and indicate a platelet donation, the available appointments will come up. Please let me know if you have trouble with any of that. As was mentioned by Netsy, we do prefer appointments if at all possible Thank you, Brad
No pay, just being a good citizen, helping others
Walk-ins are accepted. Check their hours first, though. They dont do whole blood on some days.
Not sure, just call them
They only collect blood for human use. We can't be paid for it. But we do accumulate points with which we can redeem for gift cards, etc.
No, but we accumulate points with which we can buy gift cards, movie tickets etc. Years ago I asked about places that pay for donations, and that route seems to be for commercial use. Only donated blood can be used for humans.
