My daughter is anted to go to camp with a friend who attends this church. They were full and had a wait list, so we put her on. We were told we had to put down a deposit for the wait list spot, which we would get back if she didn’t get to go. The deposit receipt said it was a donation to the church, not a deposit so I thought that was odd accounting for a non profit to put program fees into donations and charitable gifts when this was technically tax deductible. A slot didn’t open up, so we signed her up to go to our church camp, which was on overlapping dates. The day of camp, one hour before they left (my daughter was already at the other camp at this stage), I got a call saying there was a no show and she had an option to go. I informed them that she was already at another camp since a slot had not opened up. I assumed this meant we would get our deposit back (surely they would retain the deposit of the no show but not ours), but months later and numerous phone calls and emails by me and our friends who attend the church, they refuse to respond or give me my refund. I’m considering labeling the charge as fraud on my credit card but am hoping maybe this review will encourage the church to do the right thing.

Rock Point is a non-denominational, Christian church that exists to point people to Jesus, by loving them like Jesus. We play worship music that is current and uplifting along with weekly sermons that are easy to understand and apply to daily living. OUR GOAL At Rock Point, you will hear the uncompromising message of Jesus and His Gospel preached. We hope you find community here. We hope your marriage is strengthened. We want your kids to have a good time. But if all that is accomplished and you don’t meet Jesus, then we haven’t done our jobs.

Saturday night at 4 and at 5 Sunday morning at 9 and 10:30
Although they incorporate traditional hymns occasionally, the music and atmosphere have a more modern feel.
