You HAVE to try the lemon-herb salmon here!!! Itβs so juicy and tender. π£ I had a business lunch at Chart House, and the whole vibe of the restaurant was just perfect. It has a beautiful view of the Potomac. If youβre going there during the day, get a table by the window. ππΌ The food was very delicious and fresh. See the pictures with names of the dishes. Although this is one of the pricy restaurants in Town, it is a great option for a big occasion, or a business lunch kind of gathering. Our waiter Sam was so helpful in recommending the cream of crab soup. It was my first time trying it today, and I loved it! Thank you, Sam! Enjoy! β₯οΈ

The food was okay. It came out very quickly, and the staff is phenomenal. My family and I did enjoy most of the food. Their mashed potatoes are absolutely amazing, as is their coconut shrimp. A nice place to bring a loved one on a nice date I suppose!

Funny story with a great ending. My friend and I walked 7 miles albeit we knew it was going to snow. It changed to rain the last 3 miles. We were soaked, tired, and hungry. We spotted the Charter House. We were welcomed warmly, with smiles, as if we were dress to attend a Ball. Very nice staff. Justice, the gentleman who attended us, was priceless. He understood our wet presence, etc , and was very polite and attentive to our needs. We felt well served and guided to the best food we had tasted in months. His knowledge about the menu and spirits helped us decide to our much rewarded feast. The inside of the Charter House is lovely and overlooks the Potomac River. We had a great time, we had uninterrupted time to laugh about our walk, and we enjoyed seeing the River near us. Perfect!

We originally had reservations for New Years Eve. Both of us contracted COVID the day before new years. It was really easy to cancel those reservations and make some for two week ends after. We arrived right before our time and were seated within two minutes of walking in. We started with the crab avocado mango stack which is our favorite appetizer. It really a highlight of the meal. Everything works together really well and the taro root chips are addictive! We also got the kimchi calamari. It was okay. If you're a huge calamari fan then you will definitely enjoy this. I got the filet mignon. It was cooked perfectly. The mashed potatoes that come with it are definitely homemade. They were pretty good. We got a side of the mushrooms. I am not a big mushroom person (my partner is!) And even I had a few. They were pretty hot temperature wise and for the "small" size, there was a ton! He got the salmon with some kind of crust on it and it came with fingerling potatoes. He enjoyed it. Typically we don't take home to go boxes but from the appetizers and the meals, the portions were pretty big and we ended up taking a decent portion of our entrees home. The desserts are all awesome. But I like the mud pie. I've only ever had it as the birthday dessert so when the normal dessert came out I was surprised! It was huge!!! We took most of that home too. It made it the 45 min trip with minimal melting. All in all, we had a really nice evening. Our server was super pleasant and helpful. She left us to our dinner while still making sure we had what we needed. I'm looking forward to going back and trying the Mac Nut Mahi dish they had on the menu. It looked really delicious.

Street parking is metered till 9 p.m. In addition to the above ground parking garages there is cheaper parking only two blocks away at the market square garage. It's by city hall and is $5 all day Saturday and Sunday as well as after 5 p.m. weekdays, otherwise it's $2.50 per hour. If you're familiar with the farmers market held on Saturdays the garage is just beneath that area.
We wore our masks until the drinks and food came. Tables were spaced appropriately and tables cleaned with disinfectant after diners left. Hand sanitizers, etc. available.
No, it's not fancy schmancy. Maybe for a large party. Call and ask if that's you Enjoy!
No
Although there is a garage nearby and street parking, someone who has difficulty walking would still have to walk a distance to get to the property since it is on the waterfront. The food is worth it, but I would suggest that you call the restaurant to get the shortest path from the street to the restaurant.
