Contracted for pool cage painting/screening in April for July after he sent the quote by text after using Google Maps. In June tried reaching him to make changes because bottom rails had been removed by pool renovation company & we needed his input. Did not hear from him for two weeks. Called his father who is a painter and his response was "that's what kids do". In other words, they disappear for weeks at a time. We tried a second time to give him another opportunity but he failed to show up once again. Excuses ranged from family emergencies to dropping his phone in the water & the last one was a paralyzed baby brother. He agreed to return the deposit but sent text messages for 3 months saying he is wiring the money, delivering the money, his secretary is sending the money but he cannot mail a check, waiting for checks from the bank. Only corresponds through text messages. Never makes a phone call. Business address is not legitimate. Landlord has never heard of him. Cannot find any licenses or any real addresses. Two speeding tickets show an invalid residence address. Does he have liability and workers comp insurance? Very strange behavior and it's sad because he apparently can paint but he can't run a business.

Kyle Desantis is honest, reliable, dependable, and does the best work you'll ever find. He's a master at screen replacement at a reasonable price. He refurbished my pool cage to looking brand new and stabilized it so that it didn't blow away in Hurricane Ian.

We had our 30 year pool cage rejuvenated this past spring. Kyle replaced all the screws, sanded ,repainted and rescreened. With the reinforced cage plus a little luck the pool cage made it through Hurricane Ian without a scratch.

5October2022 Hurricane Ian came through and neighbors on both sides lost screens and other damage but ours is standing tall and beautiful without damage. Thanks again Kyle for a wonderful job๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘ Kyle and one of his crew rescreened and painted our lanai cage. He was so incredibly attentive and protective to our home. He treated it like his own. He was on time and if any changes, he always kept us in the loop. Meanwhile it looks fantastic!! I would recommend him and would use him again

Questions & Answers

Can I use a brush or a roller to paint my aluminum on pool cage?

Neither one of these methods is recommended. Brushes leave โ€œbrush strokesโ€ and rollers not only leave โ€œstipple marksโ€ but ultimately would just slide over the aluminum because itโ€™s so smooth. The preferred method is to โ€œSprayโ€ using an airless sprayer equipped with fine finish filters and spray tip.

What do you do to protect my pool?

During the painting portion of the restoration the pool is covered with a pool solar cover. We also put a robotic pool cleaner in your pool during the entirety of the restoration process. Along with daily cleaning of the pool filter and netting of floating debris

Is one coat of paint enough??

No, especially when going from white to bronze. Here at DeSantis Painting you receive a minimum of 2 coats and majority of time receiving 3 coats. Not to mention that one coat will no last long in the Florida son and ultimately would fade and look poor within a year.
