Went in to have some jewelry I didn't want or need looked at to give me an idea of what it was worth. I didn't know they bought jewelry. The owner was very nice and told me what was good and what was not worth much and why. Overall experience was great and informative. I ended up selling several pieces for what I feel was fair. I've just sold all my silver jewelry at 8 different places, looking for a good price. I practically gave it away. The price of silver right now is next to nothing unfortunately. Not a single one gave me a decent price. They say they sell it for scrap but I've seen some of my own jewelry in their stores for sale. I totally do not trust classic creations. I brought them 4 different pieces of jewelry that I had bought from them and they only paid me scrap. For instance i bought a bracelet at Christmas time they were advertising as a "holiday special" for $150 and only gave me $7!!! An auctioneer told me they were the worst buyers, not that he was any better. So good luck, I hope you do better than I did.
From what I understand, they have the expertise to appraise your pearls for you right there on sight at Heitel Jewelers. Trust them to give you a fair market price.
