Been coming here since May of 2021. The instructors here are really good at meeting you at your level and your progression. The rest of the students are nice too. Everyone is laid back and there's no ego on the sparring floor. No one holds any grudges, it's all compliments if you get a good hit in. I would definitely recommend this place if your interested in getting into HEMA as a hobby or just want to try something new and fun for a night. For those of you who know more about HEMA already, there is a strong focus on German Longsword tradition, with occasional forays into other traditions the strengthen the longsword fencing. Again, I highly recommend this school.

From the first class to the end of my first month, the trainers and fellow classmates are all amazing. It seems that at least this old dog and be taught new tricks.

These guys are the nicest most professional bunch of chaps you can find. Experts in their field to help you out as well in the world of martial arts and swordfighting.

Is there an age limit??

Nope as long as you have a parent or guardians written consent.

Do you have classes for kids (age 12) or do mostly adults attend?

Hi! Your best bet would be our Saturday classes in two 1 hour blocks at 5 pm and 6 pm. We currently have a 12 year old and several 14-15 year old students. They are about half. The remaining half of our attendance is adults. Our other weekday classes are all adults ages 20-40 roughly. At age 12, it really depends on whether your child enjoys the class topic (swords!), training the physical reps (about 50-300 sword swings and steps), and feels like they connect with the other students socially. I have noticed that prior sports background can help some kids (and adults) to relate to our training better, but this is not a requirement by any means.
