One of Indy's best little secrets. We stopped by this place strictly on the Google Maps comments/ratings and I was NOT disappointed! FYI: THERE IS NO SIGNAGE FOR A SHANI'S. It is actually in the place called Chipatis. ??? We showed up about an hour before closing for takeout and were warmly greeted by the order taker. The food was absolutely delicious and I would drive across town for it again. We had the Whole Chicken, tandoori style extra crispy and it came to us hot, fresh and well seasoned. The portions were generous and with the secret spicy sauce on the side, made metering the heat level easier. Speaking of the sauce, it's not that spicy if you are a spicy food fan. It definitely leans more sweet but, the more you use the hotter it gets we found. The naan garlic bread was an interesting twist on a simple favorite. It was good and paired with pieces of the chicken was a great combination. We also had chicken sandwiches. One spicy and one regular (extra crispy) both were well received and enjoyed the chicken on the naan as a unique twist to the traditional American style bun. They both thought the chew of the naan complimented the hot and crispy chicken. Overall impression: Feeding a family of 4 with each of us having different taste is always a challenge. Shani's really did a great job of delivering hot and fresh chicken at a reasonable price. Everyone was satisfied and are eager to go back.

Wow, haven’t dropped a 5 star in a long while, but this chicken from Shani’s were amazing! It was spicy, sweet, crunchy, and flavorful! This is 100% recommended if you love spicy food. Note: this restaurant is also Chapati. They also got some games to play in the restaurant!

Maybe the best fried chicken I've ever had, anywhere - Tandoori spices x American style fried chicken just works so well! The "spicy" is relatively tame and leans sweet, but that's not a bad thing. My favorite has ended up being the chicken sandwich, which is made with thigh meat only and comes on mini-naan buns. Masala fries are tasty but can get limp & soggy fast if you do takeout/delivery, so strongly recommend dining in - you won't want to wait to put it in your face anyway!

This place is inside Chapati restaurant. I ordered the spicey chicken tenders with fries and a side of Malai Bombs. Special chicken sauce is sweet and spicey and very very good. Fries are ok. Nothing to write gimme about. Maili a Bombs were great as well.
