My mother visited the Villages of Lake Highlands after a fall that required a hip and shoulder replacement. Jennifer Kelly and the team there were amazing. My mother received wonderful care and when my sister who is Mom’s primary care giver became ill Jennifer helped me make sure Mom’s transition to my house went as seamlessly as possible. Facility is a BIG FAKE, a put on for the Rehab Community. No real inpatient rehabilitation or skill training at all. The main number goes to an automated system then voice-mail ALWAYS. The Director of Nurses is not knowledgeable just as proof in her staff. If the leader is lacking the staff is as well. They dump their obligations onto other facilities. If your facility is no longer able to provide services as promised just SAY THAT. Falsifying assessments only makes reasons for "STATE" to visit your self-proclaimed 5-star facility. If that's 5-star I would hate to see less. Be warned protect your family be involved in their care plan or lack there of and be prepared for your loved one to be discharged or sent for unnecessary ER visit and V.O.L.H. refused to answer calls for their return.
