All you have to do is print out your certificate after passing the course and give it to them with any other required paperwork. They don't need that paper back

This is probably the best place to renew or obtain a driver's license. Please get there early like 6am, that's when most people start to line up, bring a blanket or coat. Walk ins are welcome, however get there early to get a walk in ticket. Once they run out that's its. Please make sure you have all documents bring extra documents just to be sure. For example in getting a driver's license, bring 2 proof of residence documents, like a bank statement or electricity bill. Make sure all of your documents are valid. Have the application already printed and filled out. Trust me doing this will make the process easy and seamless. If you need to take your driver's test, come early and make sure your documents and car is in working order.

Ok so the reason they say it that way is because everyone gets there at 6 and waits till they open their doors so that they for sure have a walk in. The dmv is only able to take about 20-50 walk ins rn... So you gotta camp out if you really need your id

You can schedule an appointment online on their website and then come at your scheduled time and there should be staff awaiting to help you fill out the paperwork and proceed. Be sure to have birth certificate and 2 types of proof of Texas residency. If you're under 18 you will need the same for parents as well.

I'm not sure about that. I think it would be ok any legal documents that you have you should take with you. I would recommend trying to call up there or any location and ask if it would be ok before going up there. Good Luck 😊

The written test is done on a computer and the testing is first come first serve. Also I don't think that you can do the driving test in the same day.
