I have had back pain for over 30 years. After my first procedure I had no pain. I feel new again. I go back in two weeks for the other lumbars. It didn’t get 5 stars since I never met the dr prior to procedure or after. So that’s a shame. But his assistant is terrific. They didn’t really explain to me what was going on being a new patient having her first procedure. They kind expected me to know what was going on. So they could improve there. Get them in and get them out mindset.

Terrible experience. Dr was an hour behind for my initial appt, had to get a procedure done at the Dallas clinic and records were never transferred over so the office staff was confused. Ended up taking a month to schedule the procedure just for them to call me and say I missed my appointment, but they put it in for the wrong day/time. I also never even received physical therapy referrals. Please don’t waste your time here. Extremely unprofessional.

Excellent staff. Very friendly. But if you use any Baylor services, you better empty out your 401K. They wiped out my health savings.

Dr Shaikh has been fantastic. He has great bedside manner and doesn't make you feel rushed during appointments. I recently had a spinal cord stimulator implanted which reduced 90% of my back pain that I have been dealing with for the last 8 years. His staff has always been professional and attentive. I would recommend Dr Shaikh and his staff to anyone looking for a pain management solution that doesn't involve just throwing medication at the problem.

Sorry, that's a better question for someone with a medical background, I'm in IT.

I had the first shot to help my sciatic pain. The pain is gone. Do I have to have a second shot? Rebecca Ann Churchill

Typically you get the most benefit from a series of 2-3 shots. However, if the pain is completely gone after just one shot, just call the office and let them know before your next appointment. You may not have to have any more (per the doctors there). But definitely get the next one at the first sign of returning pain.
