Love the location, the length of the park and the scenery. Great place to take a stroll but wish it had a section for a dog park.

Great park and walkways for families, couples, dogwalking etc. About 20ish parking spots with covered and uncovered picnic tables. Labeled trees and other plants as well intention of ensuring indengious plant and tree planting. A water foundation is available for both passersby and for dogs which we love.

I asked myself how often they cut the grass in this area, it is very neglected, I wish someone would be interested in the maintenance of this area, it's a shame because it looks horrible

Check the construction site. There should be signs with safety regs, the agency behind it and contractor information. Hope it helps. And if there isn't, try either Houston Parks or Harris County Flood Control District.
Best i know, there's already a connection to the Willow Bayou. The whole intent of the Willow Waterhole system is to retain millions of gallons of flood water to allow existing drainage to handle initial flood waters. It should already be helping the region, especially downstream.
No. This is for their own safety; there is a sign warning about alligators.
The outer loop (not across the island, following the top of the hill) is 2.2 miles. If you take the path across the island and then follow the outer path on top of the hill, it's really close to 2 miles. There are mileage markers in 1/4 mile increments for the 2 mile path.
No
Its beem awhile since any gators have been seen
People are not allowed to let their dogs run loose. If anyone runs their dog off leash they can be ticketed.
No place to swim. Only walking/running trails
Tons of blue cat some bass west side of post oak closet to meat market. ,buy shrimp w/ heads dish near drain pipe on west side. Beware of junk next to shore. Most are small. Take as many as you can. Throw anything in the pipe. A few small ball. Over populated we've caught 5ons. The tunnel that passes under post oak is where you can pitch a line a into and get little ones with almost any bait. Throw away from the pipe and the bigger ones bite.
Not sure about that?
What rules?
