She is such a genuine, caring and knowledgeable person, that I always feel very comfortable working with her.

I filed a few losses against state's attorneys and the county and the sheriff's department on their corrupt ways I wanted them to pay just for me. I wanted other people to be tested too but the old analogy is you got to get into their pockets before you can get changed.

Poor communication throughout the entire process. No response to emails or phone call for nearly a month. I was truly worried something had happened to her because I received no responses. And because I reached out to receive updates as she had volunteered me none, of course I was billed for simply wanting to know court outcomes. No communication after court was finalized for 3 weeks so I had to request an invoice of services. Nickled and dimed for emails simply stating “Thank you.”

Kirsten was thoughtful, caring, empathetic, but tough when she needed to be. She really listened to what I needed, and carried out my divorce the way I needed her to. Ten out of ten I would use her for everything if I could!

It depends on whether you have children under 18 years old, or if any of the children are in college, or the amount you have in assets and debts. Most importantly, how much you and your spouse want to fight over these things. In DeKalb County, you need to pay $326 as the Petitioner or $201 if you are the Respondent as a filing fee. As a retainer, most attorney ask for between $2000 - $3000.
