My daughter was married in a small private ceremony at this beautiful historic church. What a meaningful and wonderful experience we had!

We enjoyed a peaceful spring walk around historic St. Peter's Church graveyard, admiring the blossoming cherry trees and spring flowers. The church dates back to 1761 when George and Martha Washington were regular parishioners. Download their audio tour to learn about others buried here: architect Charles Wilson Peale and Commodore Stephen Decatur (the big column photo). This is a welcoming, inclusive Episcopal church with friendly parishoners who give historic and ghost tours of the grounds. The graveyard is open to on-leash dogs and we saw several on our visit.

Blessed place with the friendliest people ever!

Update: Emma is buried in the family plot with her hubby. Died Dec. 8, 1918. I hope that is helpful! Hello, this is Lauri Cielo from St. Peter's Church. Our parish administrator can look that up for you. I've sent your request to her, and we will let you know what we find.
Hello Debbe! St. Peter's Church does not offer daily services. We have services on Sundays at 9 & 11 a.m. and Morning Prayer at 7:45 a.m. Tuesdays. We also have special services throughout the year.
