My mom had a scary experience here. In her short stay, her social security identity was stolen (someone rerouted her monthly direct deposit to their own private account) *and* someone stole a rent check she mailed to the facility and forged it in another person's name, meaning that the rent never reached the facility but went into someone's pocket. The only options are 1) someone at Ravenswood stole the check or 2) someone at the postal service stole the check. I am betting it was someone at Ravenswood, especially given the prior social security fraud incident. The issue with the check may affect my mother's Medicaid eligibility. Both incidents have required us to do tons of paperwork and follow ups to to try to recover the funds, taking precious time, nerves, and energy, which is extra hard with my mom being disabled. My mom has almost no assets, so stealing what little she had was even more stressful for her and me. We cannot *yet *directly prove that the facility is responsible for one or the other, however neither of these things ever happened before to my mom, and happened only in relation to her stay at this facility, which I find suspicious. The fraud only occurred after people working in the facility had access to the personal data required to be successful at this sort of fraud, and there is really no one else who we could think of who had that kind of access. In all of the fraud cases above, the facility was unfriendly about it and could not offer any help or reassurances. It seems they did not really care and would rather ignore it. That is crazy because if someone on their staff is doing this, they should investigate it. It is probably happening to more people, especially residents whose family lives out of town and is not there every week to see them. So if your family member is there, be vigilant! Also, when she first moved in, she was fragile and having a hard time adjusting, especially because she had just been in and out of hospitals. A nurse called me one day, and I heard her angrily berating my mom for "bad behavior" while my mom was crying and begging for another chance. I asked if she could be connected to a social worker or psychologist and they said they don't have one and cannot help with that. Basically, the message was: either she adjusts right away, if not, then she is berated, then asked to leave. Shouldn't a supportive living place provide some form of emotional support around a very unsettling move for a vulnerable senior? Later, after she moved out for a different reason, my mom was asked to sign a back-dated residence contract so the facility was in compliance with the law (apparently there was a mistake on the original contract she signed and they wanted to re-do it months later for their compliance), which we would not do because of the financial fraud incidents and not trusting them. I would not be surprised if they forged the contract as well after my mom would not agree to sign it. Some other things were good--like assistance with details of move-in and the fact the facility is new, aesthetically pleasing, and clean. But overall it is not a trustworthy place and therefore I would not put a parent here, unless they truly have nowhere else to go, in which case I would monitor their finances and state of being closely.

Not all superheros wear capes! Danny went above and beyond to help assist in the process of getting my Grandma transitioned into Ravenswood Supportive Living. In less than two short weeks we were able to get the paperwork squared away and my Grandma moved in. I was amazed with how up to date and renovated the building is! It's comforting knowing my loved one is taking the next chapter in their life in a clean building and surrounded by staff that truly cares about them and their well being. Initially starting this process I was nervous but with the support and consistency of Danny, we were able to find a new home for my Grandma!

My mother just moved in here today and I do not even have the words to describe the top notch service I got from the team there. The admission process from start finish was so seamless because Danny, the sales director, gave me such precise directions on what paperwork was needed. He went over and beyond knowing the dire need I was in to get my mom the right care by checking in countlessly.. even while on vacation in Puerto Rico! He is truly a gem! The place is brand new and impeccably clean. They have amazing amenities like a roof deck, library, fitness center. I know my mom is going to absolutely love living there. Thank you so much to the Ravenswood Senior Living team!!!

The rooms are typically outfitted by the tenant, however we do make accommodations from time to time if we have a spare. WiFi is accessible in common areas, although many rooms do get service.
