Awesome museum with a real purpose. You can board in East Troy and ride to the Elegant Farmer and return.

I know you're thinking.....FIVE STARS? I rode these trains in the 60's as a kid from 130 South Chicago to the Loop and Hedgewisch , Chicago, Illinois. It was for pleasure and employment. Remember the Red Caboose pub near the ramp to the trains as u take your carry on cup for the ride home. Thursdays and Fridays were the best.

Visited for the Autumn Glow dinner train. I grew up in East Troy and have had a few experiences on the trains. This was a great date night idea! Food was tasty and plentiful. Recommend to any couple of family looking for something a little different.

The museum is nice needs more R.R. antiques. We went for the Electric train ride. We rode to the park, which they had set up with some holloween back drops. They handed out candy to the kids and had games for them to play with a holloween theam.

At the present time, there isn't a model railroad set up in the depot. There is a wig wag though
Absolutely it's a train and later in the fall the colors are beautiful
Hey Nadia..... wruf I truyet do Jessi jrfjjtryrsriortk r yu.
It would be best if you call them.
No
While the train is in motion, you remain seated. You have a choice of one of the two entrees. The meal is served once the train reaches the park in Mukwonago and remains there while you eat.
Yes, the Dinner Trains are air-conditioned and they have a restroom on board.
Shirley -- yes, the East Troy Railroad Museum hosts school tours and field trips. There is special pricing for this (less than the charter price) but you will have to talk with Jim Feyerherm, our operations manager, for details. You can reach him or leave a message for him at 262-642-3263.
We do not currently sell any South Shore cars in HO or any other scale. We have a new gift shop manager the year, though, so the items for sale may change.
We had no problems and I'm not co.puter savvy had a great day with grandsons. Recomend icecream parlor next door after
Our 2020 ticket prices: Children 3-14 are $9.50; Adults are $15.00; Seniors are $12.50. 2 & under are free. The museum itself is free. The ticket prices apply if you would like to take the train ride.
Felicia -- the Museum is wheelchair accessible, but our railroad cars are not wheelchair accessible. If it is possible for someone to be helped on board the cars -- and the wheelchair is one that can be folded -- we can accommodate someone in that way. But we do not have ramps into the cars, and the cars are historic cars not generally large enough to allow a wheelchair to navigate the car.
Gabriel, A round trip is about 90 minutes, 30 minutes each way with a 30 minute layover. Additionally, the tickets are day passes and allow you to ride as many times as you like.
Ibelieve they do
Pat Doran's answer is correct - you can ride trains all day with a ticket to one of our regular trains on a Friday, Saturday or Sunday. Nanette is referring to our dinner trains, which have tables for two or tables for four. Jenny is mistaken -- but I hope she comes to ride more than one train next time
East Troy is 35 miles southwest of Milwaukee on I-43; it is 15 miles straight north of Lake Geneva on Highway 120; and it is 34 miles straight west of Racine on Highway 20.
Train rides are $8 for kids and $12.50 for adults. Self-guided tours of the small museum in the depot are free.
