Better now in 2022. We like to walk the dogs here, there's a lot of shade. The huge amount of brush removal and clean up hasn't gone unnoticed. Thank you for that. Now, if the degenerates will stop littering. There's a trash 🗑️ can or two in every direction. Walk your happy a$$ over there & put your trash in the waste receptacle.

Called the city and there is NO CAMPING anymore at Firemans Park. The park is great just no longer camping friendly even "with special permit" NO CAMPING

This is a nice place for all kinds of activities. There's plenty of space for outdoor games, picnicking, walking, jogging, etc. There is a large playground area for the kiddos. The front half of the park is covered by tall pine trees with benches and tables for picnics where you can watch/feed the ducks from the pond. The back half has a disc golf course, suspension walk bridge over the Brazos creek, sidewalk pathway that follows the creek to the levee/weir. The back area also has access to several small hiking trails through the live oak and mesquite trees. I've been coming to this park for almost 15 years. It has always been well groomed and clean every time I've visited.
