Lovely park...nice playground. Wonderful family area, boat launch and the dock...we were there for Shakespeare in the Park. A great retelling of Cymbeline. Updated and exceptionally clever.

Federal Way has an excellent team caring for and keeping up Steel Lake Park grounds! Ample parking if arriving by Noon, with sweeping grounds, shade trees, amazing playground, concessions, and then of course, the beach and lake itself. A community gathering place, our family had plenty of room, even when many other families were enjoying themselves as well. People bring grills and coolers, blow up floaties and Frisbees, etc. People of all ages and cultures come to enjoy and relax. 10 Stars Federal Way! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The park is fine. So why the 1 star you ask?....we were there to say goodbye to a loved one. This was her favorite park. It will be hard to go there again and not be saddened by her passing. Please go there and enjoy this lake, it is quite nice.

This park is a great medium size, with a beach, and many ducks who don’t shy away easily! It has a beautiful playground for kids, along with bathrooms and a large parking lot. Great scenic views! I enjoyed bringing my dog and taking pictures.

Physical distance is important, but virus dies more quickly in sunlight, like 2 minutes. As for the park, no problem!
Is not a park where I would get married its a nice place to go to take the kids to play and bbq with the family. It doesn't have that wow too be like let's get married here.
Yes there is a bathroom and also, they have a concession stand.. in the summer. not sure when they open.. they also have life jackets.
They have plenty of room for that and have resource fairs there also with a lot of booths!
Remove em mostly on the side you use to get in and out of the water, if you have a boat you dock there it'd be good to clear it all cause those getting tangled in your motor would be bad..
Pop ends it
Not at the moment
The park is open, though the play ground is supposed to be closed and there is an actual sign that it is close for safety concerns.
Yes they have shelters available for rent or if they are not already booked you can utilize them.
Yes but it's not my grandbabies and my favorite place to swim. And no shower after swimming.
Swimmers complaining of having the itchiness after swimming.
General standby is the floating power bait balls. Some people use the traditional worm. Seems to change daily what they're interested in at the time.
Yes, but be careful of the playground area and other table areas used needles can be found.
Large mouth, small mouth, perch. Rainbow trout are stocked.
Yea its clear...
We were just there yesterday and the water wasn't bad. I wouldn't classify it as crystal clear but definitely not nasty either.
Technically not allowed but many people find ways to hide it
Call the phone number on the web. Have your credit card ready.
No one is aloud in the park once gate is closed. Sorry.
Not supposed to swim. And agree with others, the bathrooms are heavily used in summer and thus always dirty.
Yes you can. I'd reserve a spot because they fill up fast on weekends especially. I think you just google steel lake park reservations and I'm sure it will show what to do!!
I don't think that you can walk around the lake, but the park might take 20 minutes so, depending on your speed and the route you take
Yes, you can bring a grill or use one at the picnic site if they are not all reserved.
