Face masks are mandatory. Head counting, entry based on capacity and waiting outside is still in practice.
Every REI's rental list is different. Your best bet would be to call the store, but since the rentals are largely tailored to local activities I doubt skis are on the list. https://www.rei.com/rentals
Depends on what you are looking for. Online inventory sometimes helps. Employees can also see inventory in other stores. You probably need the item number so they can check.
