The Navy polluted the lake pretty good. Eleven million was spent cleaning the lake. I would NOT eat the fish if you do catch any.

Nooooo this body of water belongs to the National Guard if you get caught you'll be fined. Fishing or boats as well Joe Pool Lake allows all three People do it but they are taking risks.
Park use is fee, as are grills, playgrounds, parking area, but to use the Pavillion you have to reserve with the city. In town residents $75; non res $ 225 per day.
There are two trails one is a mile the other about a mile and a half
Yes it's free, you can reserve tables at the pavilion for parties. BYOB,there is a nice playground for kids. There is BBQ grills There are walking trails,bike trails. And you can ride 4 wheelers. Basketball court. No overnight camping, 10pm curfew at night. And it seems Grand Prairie doesn't own it any more. Dallas does.
