My girlfriend and I took the 4-week beginner salsa course (but you definitely don't need a partner, we rotate a lot). I was a little nervous! As soon as we walked in, it was obvious this is a friendly and inviting space. Michelangelo is a great teacher and does an excellent job of making it fun! We always leave in a better mood than we came. Plus, I can actually dance a little salsa now. Definitely going to sign up for a second class. Can't recommend them enough!

I love this studio, there’s always such good energy from everyone here. Instructors are super friendly, prepared, and very skillful — both in their craft and in leading a class of students with various dance backgrounds and skill levels. Michael Angelo will meet you at your level (whether complete beginner or yearlong dancer) and encourage your growth at whatever pace your prefer - while keeping it relaxing and fun! Every one who has ever had any inkling to social dance should give this studio a try. Highly recommend!

Love this place. I wanted to try salsa classes and drop in several studios for a while. First time I went here, it was so much fun, I didn’t want to try other studios. The punchcards also work very well for me because it allows for flexibility and I have a very difficult schedule. The instructors are awesome, I go every time I have free time. The atmosphere is very warm and welcoming, and I like the new friends I’m making. Highly recommend!

I have been attending classes at Dance Academy of Salsa for about 8 months now. I joined because I wanted to learn to dance officially, after having enjoyed mini-lessons at social dance nights. I started in Level 1 Salsa and I'm now in Level 2, and every class I go to is the highlight of my week! The teacher is fun, skilled, and patient with all kinds of students; they also use language that helps me (as a non-binary person) feel super comfy and welcome. There's a good mix of core moves, polishing and styling, solo options, and "fun stuff" (converting to alternate timings, etc.) to keep things fresh every week. I would recommend DAoS to anyone who wants to learn to dance salsa, cha cha, or bachata.
