My daughter attended summer camp at Gus and since she loved her experience so much we enrolled her in tap/hip hop class. She loves all the moves that are taught and she’s becoming more confident in dance as well as on general.

The gus giordano college/pro intensive was such an amazing and rewarding experience. I felt so inspired and welcome at gus and met so many amazing dancers! I loved the show at the end of the intensive and i learned so much from all of the amazing choreographers and teachers we worked with.

Do you have to have your parents wait in the car or leave and can’t walk up with you to Gus?? During COVID-19?

Hi Karly, Thank you for your great question! We have loved teaching you virtually! Each class is assigned a designated area to wait on the Andersonville markers spaced 6 feet apart for drop off & pick up. Dancers wait with their parent on a marker until it's the classes turn to come into GUS for temperature checks & hand sanitizer. Only dancers are allowed upstairs into GUS at this time! You walk in with your teacher and classmates always spaced 6 feet apart. After class, your parents wait for you on the same Andersonville marker. Dancers walk down with their teacher to their designated area for pick up! While you are in class, we recommend parents visiting the unique shops in Andersonville including Woman & Children First Bookstore, Milk (woman’s gifts) and Toys Et Cetera. Or pick up dinner at Calo Italian, Lady Gregory, Vincent’s or Bar Roma to name just a few of the wonderful restaurants just steps from GUS. Starbucks, Forever Yogurt and Collective Coffee are also right by GUS.

For the intensive, do you have to wear black leotards, or can I wear maroon, lavender, and royal blue?

For our Summer Intensives, dancers can wear any solid colored leotard with black shorts or leggings! During our year long classes, we require black leotards :)

We have a Ballet/Jazz class for 2&3 year olds! Our year long classes are September-May. GUS also has Tiny Tots Camp July 31st - August 2nd 2019. Tiny Tots is a great way to introduce them to ballet, jazz, tumbling, motor skill development, musicality & following directions. Many of our youngest dancers start in Tiny Tots then enroll for the Fall. Our Fall schedule will be on our website by the end of April 2019.
