First time donating hundreds of dollars worth of second hand belongings tonight and the gentleman at the donation center was just flat out unhelpful. No greeting, stood around while I made several trips to my car without asking to give a hand, no direction on anything, and showed no appreciation for a large donation. I chose Salvation Army because I know they donate more to charity than Goodwill but I’m hoping that this interaction doesn’t represent them as a whole.

We have a problem at the bolingbrook location . We shop at salvation army everyweek at the Chicago location. We were looking at a wallet and the cashier asked us several times if we were done and rudely tô. Other customers look longer but she had a problem with us.

Tried to donate an. SUV full of small kids toys. Tricycle's, sit on push cars, minnie mouse stroller among other things and was turned away saying that they do not take things like that.

You can drop off just about any item from where I understand as long as it before 7:00 and not on Sunday
They open at 11. All the clothes are 50% off.

Nope! I have found them a little bit expensive for that kind of store. Of course, the reason for that is not connected with better quality at all.
If they are not there I leave the donations by the door. If you want a receipt, you need to go when they are present.
