Can not get appt in a timely manner. Frustrating for sure. Simply best for only wellness care. Do not depend on getting an appointment if your pet needs a doctor.

I'm a truck driver and find it difficult to make and keep appointments .. staff was very friendly and accommodating to keep my baby's shots current. I don't think I've ever dealt with a friendlier and more professional receptionist.!!!!

Terrible service. Our dog almost died because they refused to see her. She was severely dehydrated and needed and to see a doctor. They had us wait for almost two hours then after waiting, they told us we had to go to an animal hospital because the doctor was too busy. Take your pet to vets that actually care about animals DO NOT take them to Banfield!!!!!!

My husband and I just moved out to IL from AZ and went to a banfield a month ago in AZ where the doctor prescribed eye medication with 3 refills. We told them we were moving to IL and the doctor kindly reassured us that we would have no problems filling the prescription refills when we got to IL. Well.. we went into this banfield in Darien, and the doctor told us that “they’re not a pharmacy, and they would need to see our dog and build a relationship” before filling prescription that are on file.... After we spent all that money in AZ a month ago and having prescription refills on file? No thanks. I felt it was a very disappointing and rude experience. I guess it’s a good thing this location is closing soon. The front desk girls were super friendly though!

No, but you can call us during hospital hours for urgent care advice. Depending on the situation, we can help provide a referral for urgent care, specialty providers, or to an emergency hospital. During non-hospital hours, please contact your local emergency hospital.
You can spread the cost of your wellness plan across the 12 months of your annual agreement to make it easier to budget for the essential health care your pet needs. Your monthly payments can be automatically withdrawn from a checking or savings account or charged to a credit card so that you don’t have to worry about them once you enroll. We also offer the option of paying in full if you prefer.
Optimum Wellness Plans are designed to provide annual preventive care. They include head-to-tail exams, vaccines, early screening diagnostics, consultations for proper nutrition, dental care and more! Since wellness plans are not insurance, they do not include treatment for unpredictable or abnormal conditions, however discounts would apply. Because pets need ongoing preventive care, wellness plans automatically renew at the end of each twelve month period (unless paid in full at enrollment).
