Excellent food and service. The staff were very friendly and a team players. The place was clean and they were busy. The chicken fried steak was really good and the rolls and green beans were even better.

Traveling west on I-20 out of Ft Worth and decided to look for a place to eat. Not much out this way. Came up on the old ghost town of Thurber TX and saw the Smokestack Restaurant. I don’t impress easily, but the food was AMAZING. The special cost less than $10 and delicious according to the table next to us.chicken pot pie, salad, drink and dessert. I had the chicken fried steak and hubby had sirloin steak. We both had baked potatoes and salads. Delicious! Did I mention that it was in the coolest old mercantile building I’ve ever seen.

It was our first time there as we travel by often. The restaurant is very cleans and filled with antiques and old photos. The food was good and staff was friendly. Great place to stop for a meal.

This place is worth a trip to the country. We try to stop here often. Food and service is always awesome. Bread is the bomb and I love the meatloaf and the broccoli and cauliflower.

Absolutely. Best to reserve the space in advance and they will have everything set for you. Whether its a party of 2 or 20, you will get excellent personal service!

I'd imagine they are celebrating Thanksgiving with their families.
