Ok! My love for watermelon at the “ripe” ole age of 65 has entered a new dimension. The dang gone sweetest watermelon I’ve eaten since I was a child. Don’t miss spittin da seeds either. Always remember when picking a melon. Tight lines, green all around with some yellow in the bottom where it sat gently to picking time. The sound of solidness by “tapping with your fingers” not your fist is a good thing too. Mr Luke Brown Sir ! That’s some mighty fine melon you’re growin son, y’all look at the juices in that melon. Hi Debra, We are off to a late start harvesting this year. (cool weather early on) Most years our watermelons are available in early July at HEB San Antonio Area or Houston Area, Kroger too. This year '21, it'll be closer to the end of July. -Luke
We will have a small batch of yellow seedless this summer.
