Pastor Scott and his wife are great people. He officiated my husband’s and my wedding October 9 of this year. We found their premarital counseling sessions very challenging and fun at the same time. He did a great job officiating, and my husband and I greatly appreciated his traditional and biblical yet laid back approach where he wasn’t making a big deal about things that shouldn’t matter (and should be up to the bride and groom). He and his wife also stepped up to coordinate the wedding when their wedding coordinator retired and the other one quit only after working there a short time. They picked an awesome organist and sound guy, and we were able to get an awesome livestream for the multiple people who had to watch virtually. This church and this minister and his wife are great people.

I went to this church for two years and had the time of my life it was amazing they taught so much and took us on trip and let us have lots of fun in general

Pastor Scott publicly attacks and humiliates people for the amount of money they give and makes no effort to get to know new people that come in. Edith Smith handles all the money and the giving records are obviously not used in a Christian manner. The leadership at EPCC has driven me out and left me with no church home. I have never been treated so horribly ever. It is no mystery why this church is imploding. The Music Director, Jerry Cornish, has little choral, vocal, sacred or organ background. The music ministry is collapsing and much of the music is nothing more than bad karaoke with teenagers on cheap keyboards. Organists and experienced and degreed musicians have left due to this abusive and incompetent Music Director. The choir used to do major choral works and was well respected in the community. The choir is far less than half what it was when Cornish came in less than 4 years ago. His choir and bell choir train wreck most of the so called music he hands them. The church once boasted 2200 members. Now, the number is less than 200 and rapidly dropping due to the abusive, dishonest, secretive and unresponsive leadership. It is heartbreaking to see a place filled with such wonderful people implode due to the very poor leadership.

I've been a member 22 years and have come to know the good people at my church as family. We have an excellent pastor in Dr. Scott Woodell who sermons are scripture based. Our music ministry is sound and inviting, under the direction of Jerry Cornish. Please join us.

No. This church left the Disciples of Christ and is now under the Disciples Heritage Fellowship. The leadership is dishonest and abusive. The pastor makes little effort to tend to his flock and attacks people based on their donations. The music ministry has collapsed under incompetent leadership. The music minister lacking choir, organ, sacred music and vocal training has been disastrous. The gay bashing and better than thous attitude has just about emptied that church.
