There are a variety of habitats available for birds who might be stopping by. That makes for some good bird watching! I liked the view of the Trinity River on the far end of the sanctuary. I also enjoy how quiet it is. That might be the best part.

Excellent place to walk and see wildlife. Bring your bug spray

This is a great place for introducing bird watching to your kiddos. You'll be equipped with binoculars and a guide who shares info about local birds and habitat, plants, etc. He points out different bird sounds, which bird it is and gives time to try and find through the nocs. I was with my grands, ages 3 and 7. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and will go again soon. There are more points of interest inside such as pamphlets, gift store and subjects to inspect. Get going and happy birding! I would like to express my thanks to the entire team here! 👍🐦

I went in to ask they said no bikes there but there is a trail nearby
Actually biking the trail would be a waste as most of the trails and paths are narrow and are shorter routes. The whole emphasis of the Audubon center is to observe the birds so the pathways are aimed to give you a view without disturbing the birds.
Hello and thank you for contacting Trinity River Audubon Center! Our prices are listed below: Adults (Ages 13-59): $6 Children (Ages 3-12): $3 Seniors (Ages 60+): $4 Members, children age 2 and under, and 75217 residents: free
Have to check...
I would say definitely not. You are expected to stay on the walking paths and viewing areas leaving the other areas for the wildlife.
I really don't think it would be worth your time. There is just a very small pond that nobody with a kayak would bother getting on. It is not a fishing pond and was dried up recently. I think they stock it with fish but the fish don't get big because of the small size of the pond.
No butterfly park. Although, inside the building there is a small exhibit center that shows different types of animals and plants that grow and live there.
Yes, I think it's $6 for adults and $4 for kids. It all goes to help maintain the grounds. It's really beautiful there.
Considering that it is a bird sanctuary, I would think that wouldn't be a good idea.
